World War I Imperial German DWM 1917 Dated Luger Pistol

Toggle has the DWM monogram and the chamber is dated 1917. Three crown/gothic letter proofs on right barrel extension and Imperial eagle on barrel, right barrel extension, and breechblock. Straw colored small parts with visible numbers on the gun matching. Checkered grips numbered to gun with non-matching blue magazine with aluminum base (1571a with eagle/655 proof).

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 75% plus original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown (more prevalent on the grip straps) with some loss at the muzzle and some minor edge wear. The grip straps have extensive pin point pitting and light spotting, with some pin point pitting near the muzzle, a spot of deep pitting on the barrel at the mid-point, and a couple of dings on right barrel extension. The small parts retain traces of original straw color. The grips are very fine with a few minor nicks and a few areas of minor wear on the overall crisp checkering.
