Remington Rolling Block Navy .22 caliber plinker, 8” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, standard wood stocks with blade front sight and v-notch front sight, marked “Remington Arms Co. Ilion, NY” on barrel,also marked “Remington Arms Co. Ilion NY” on bottom right side of frame. No serial number. Believed to be prototype or sample for this model. Refer Remington Rolling Block Pistols, page 129, formerly Karl Moldenhauercollection, and Landskron collection. The pistol remains in original very good plus to near fine condition showing 75-85% original blue on barrel, some losses along left edge of barrel, some minor erosion and pinprickpitting just starting. The frame shows 75-85% case hardening on left, 65-75% on right, drifting on the instrap, approx. 50% on backstrap. The small parts on breech show most of their bright original blue. There issome scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting in a few areas. The grips are very good plus to near fine with just some slight handling marks. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
