Rare Remington Keene 20” carbine, serial #433, .45-70 caliber, grey to brown patina finish with traces of original blue where protected. The metal surfaces show some cleaning oveall and show some scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion. The markings on the bolt are mostly visible, there is a number 433 stamped on the left rear of action where the caliber marking is sometimes found. The stocks are good with some light cleaning with steel wool but no sanding. The correct sights and small parts and sling swivels remain. The action is good, the bore is good. There is a small stress crack right beneath the tang. The length and crowning all appear genuine and is one of just a few known in 20”. Est: $1,500 -3000
