Percussion dueling pistol signed Constable, Philadelphia, circa 1850’s to 60’s. 14” overall, with 8-1/2” heavy octagon barrel, approx. 48 caliber, half stocked, brass engraved mounts, checkered bag-shaped butt. The barrel shows a deep brown patina finish and the lock shows a light silver drifting to patina. The stock shows two large chips of wood missing above the barrel key on the left side, a few gouges, some small dings and mars, and is generally fair to good. The mounts and triggerguard show a deep patina, the action is good, generally good overall. With an original to the period ramrod. A very well-known and desirable maker. From the William R. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
