Percussion dueling pistol signed Constable, Philadelphia, circa 1850’s to 60’s. 14” overall, with 8-1/2” heavy octagon barrel, approx. 48 caliber, half stocked, brass engraved mounts, checkered bag-shaped butt. The barrel shows a deep brown patina finish and the lock shows a light silver drifting to patina. The stock shows two large chips of wood missing above the barrel key on the left side, a few gouges, some small dings and mars, and is generally fair to good. The mounts and triggerguard show a deep patina, the action is good, generally good overall. With an original to the period ramrod. A very well-known and desirable maker. From the William R.
