New York engraved Smith & Wesson Second Model Commercial Russian top break revolver, .44 cal., 8” barrel, nickel finish, period ivory grips, #14606. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 75% nickel finishwith finely executed scroll engraving, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and fine ivory grips with age cracks on the butt areas showing slight shrinkage as would be expected after 140+ years; assembly numbers273 G match on back of cylinder and on right web of barrel assembly; barrel latch # is 606; capital “N” stamped in between frame posts for barrel latch. A beautiful large frame single action Smith & Wesson withoutstanding engraving and classic ivory grips. Est.: $11,000-$22,000.
