A letter concerning a widow and some funds left by her late husband, Jacob Culb. Written from Carlisle Pa in 1845 to Moses McLean in Gettysburg, 7 3/4" wide, folded in half making this double size, 9 3/4" tall, the letter was initially folded and used as an envelope for mailing, some edge and corner losses but for a 160 year old letter, it is a remarkable state of preservation.
