Lot of 4 small bronzes depicting playful bears, on marble bases by noted artist E.W. Deming made by Fenn Bronze (#21 of 100) and accompanied by the book “Eight Bears, A Biography of E. W. Deming, 1860-1942” byThomas G. Lamb. These nicely accomplished bronzes range in size from 3” to 4” in height and 3” to 4” in width and depth, all on similar bases with one base showing an old repair to one bottom corner. Deming was acontemporary and friend of Remington and Schreyvogel and was known as “Eight Bears” to the Indians of the Oklahoma Territory and in his lifetime, illustrated some 80 books. He was also a great painter and during hislifetime knew many historical figures including Sitting Bull and Teddy Roosevelt. Est.: $400-$600.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
