Late Brown Bess style .69 caliber musket converted from flintlock to percussion showing marking on lock of crown with Tower proof. The metal surfaces show a heavy brown patina with scattered light to heavy pittingand erosion. The brass mounts show a heavy brown patina. The buttstock is carved with soldier’s ID “WxS”. The wood shows many dings, mars, small imperfections, slight losses consistent with military storage anduse. An old ramrod is included. Est: $500 - $1,000
