LOT OF 16 COMMONWEALTH BAYONETS.
This lot consists of the following Commonwealth bayonets: 1) No. 4 Cruciform Bayonet. No visible markings. Black suncorite finish. Scabbard present. CONDITION: bayonet shows scattered flaking & oxidation. Scabbard has remnants of suncorite finish. 2) No. 4 Spike Bayonet. No visible markings. Black suncorite finish. Scabbard & canvas frog present. CONDITION: bayonet & scabbard show scattered flaking, dents & oxidation. Frog shows some staining. 3) British No. 7 Mk. I/L Blade Bayonet. 1948 dated blade. Resin grips. Scabbard & canvas frog present. CONDITION: grip panels show some light dings & handling wear. Metal parts of bayonet show overall flaking suncorite with some oxidation. Scabbard & frog show some flaking & staining. 4) British No. 9 Blade Bayonet. Suncorite finished scabbard. CONDITION: scabbard & bayonet show scattered flaking. 5) No. 4 MKII Spike Bayonet. Suncorite finish. Scabbard & Canadian marked canvas frog. CONDITION: blade scabbard show scattered flaking & oxidation. 6) Savage made No. 4 MKII Spike Bayonet. Suncorite finish. Scabbard & Canadian marked canvas frog. CONDITION: blade has mostly faded to gray with some oxidation & light pitting. Scabbard shows scattered flaking. Canvas frog shows scattered staining. 7) No. 4 MKII Spike Bayonet. Entirety of bayonet & scabbard have reapplied chrome finish. CONDITON: bayonet & scabbard show some light flaking, oxidation & dings.8) No. 4 MKII Spike bayonet. Green canvas frog & suncorite finished scabbard. CONDITION: bayonet is a silvery gray color with scattered oxidation & pitting. Scabbard shows scattered flaking. 9) No. 4 MKIII Spike Bayonet. Later spike bayonet that appears unmarked. Suncorite finished scabbard present. CONDITION: Bayonet has a silvery gray appearance with oxidation. Scabbard shows scattered flaking around the edges & silvering. 10) Remington P1913 Bayonet.1917 dated blade with British proofs. Grooved walnut handles. Leather scabbard. CONDITION: grips show scattered dings & handling wear. Metal shows scattered oxidation & fading. Scabbard shows flaking on metal parts, flaking & crazing on leather body. 11) P1907 Bayonet. Sanderson P1907 bayonet dated 1916. Smooth hardwood grips. Leather scabbard. CONDITION: grips show heavy handling wear, oil staining & dings. Metal parts of bayonet turning gray with oxidation, some pitting & remnants of green paint. Scabbard shows scattered crazing & flaking. 12) Australian P1907 Bayonet. Blade has Lithgow markings. Parkerized finish. Smooth hardwood grips marked "AUSTRALIA". Leather scabbard. CONDITION: grips show scattered dings & handling wear. Metal shows edge wear, light pitting & scattered oxidation. Scabbard shows scattered flaking & crazing. 13) P1907 Bayonet. Blade has 1918 date & Sanderson marking. Smooth hardwood handles. Leather scabbard. CONDITION: grips show some light chips, dings & handling wear. Metal shows scattered fading to gray & oxidation. Scabbard shows scattered flaking & crazing. 14) Ishapore Shortened P1907 Bayonet. 1942 dated RFI 12 1/2" blade. Smooth hardwood handles. Suncorite finish. Leather scabbard. CONDITION: handles show dings, chipping & oil staining. Metal parts of bayonet show light oxidation & fading. Scabbard shows overall flaking. 15) Ishapore Mk. II* Bayonet. Blade has Ishapore markings & 1943 date. Suncorite finished metal Smooth hardwood handles. Leather scabbard. CONDITION: grips show scattered dings & handling wear. Metal shows scattered dried grease & light oxidation. Scabbard is bit towards tip with scattered flaking & crazing. 16) British P1888 Bayonet. Blade has faint British proofs. Smooth hardwood grip panels. No scabbard present. CONDITION: grips show some dings, paint staining & handling wear. Metal is an overall dull gray patina with paint splatter, scratches & oxidation.
