High grade custom rifle on Winchester pre-64 Model 70 barreled action, .264 Winchester caliber, serial #470157. The rifle shows a Leupold scope on Bueller mounts. The rifle is nicely stocked in select walnut with crispcheckering. Fancy forend cap, nicely made quick release floorplate, metal grip cap with trap. The metal surfaces show a matte finish on the barrel and action, high polish on floorplate, triggerguard, grip cap. The stock shows a few bumps and mars. The stock measures 13-1/2” to the end of the wood, 14-1/8” to the end of the pad. The action shows engine turning as does the follower. The bore is excellent, the trigger is about3-4lbs. Although not signed, a high quality rifle made for America’s number one sportsman in the caliber he liked for long-range sheep hunting. From the Robert Petersen collection. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
