Colt SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, #24511. This early Colt shows 2 line patent dates and large block letter address circa 1874-1875. The Colt shows traces of finish in protected areas with a grey patina and somelight to moderate scattered pitting and erosion; good sharp edges and markings; all matching numbers; good grips showing slight edgewear and minor imperfections; front sight trimmed a little at top; good action, verygood bore; some great blue and case where protected (about 5-10%). A well-cared for and very early frontier Colt that is original down to its cylinder pin and ejector rod head. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
