Rare letter on LSU "Department of Athletics" letterhead dated February 2, 1971, handwritten and signed in black ink by Press Maravich, LSU basketball coach and father of legendary basketball HOFer "Pistol" Pete Maravich. Letter reads in part "...told him to remember Pete's lawyers Les and Art. Also warned him to stay away from agents. I just wanted to remind him that you all would like to represent him...Never heard anything from John Vaught. I hope he wiped his ass with the letter, the bastard." Great insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of Pistol's early career. Letter is EXMT-NRMT with "Press" signature that grades an 8 to 9. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
